奈良に拠点を置くNew Light Potteryは、今回、常盤橋タワーの8階壁面の棚のため、ガラスによる照明の組み作品を制作しました。色のバリエーションは、江戸時代から明治時代にかけて盛んになった浮世絵の、緑や赤、藍や浅黄色を参照しています。また単色で構成するのではなく、一つのユニットにおいても彼らは色ガラスを複数重ね、複雑な色の変化を導き出しました。
ガラス職人との協働によって作り出されたこれらの作品は、伝統の技術を受け継ぎながら、新しい変化の時代を表現するものになっています。

以奈良为中心开展创作活动的New Light Pottery，这一次为了常盘桥大厦8楼墙面上的架子，创作了一组玻璃照明组合作品。色彩的变化参照了江户时代到明治时代日本盛行的浮世绘中的绿色、红色、靛蓝和浅黄色。而且，不是由单一颜色构成，即便是在一个单元中他们也用了多层彩色玻璃加以叠加，从而导出复杂的色彩变化。
这些通过与玻璃匠人合作共同制作的作品，在继承了传统技术的同时，也成为了一种表现新变革时代的事物。

New Light Pottery, based in Nara, Japan, has created a glass lighting assembly for the 8th floor shelves of the Tokiwabashi Tower. The color variations reference the greens, reds, indigo, and light yellow of the Ukiyo-e woodblock prints that flourished during Japan’s Edo and Meiji periods. Rather than using a single color, the artists layered several colors of glass to create intricate color variations in a single unit.
These works, created in collaboration with glass artisans, represent a new era of change while inheriting traditional techniques.
