青、赤、金、四角、三角、丸……。荒牧はこれらシンプルな色と形を組み合わせてユニットをつくり、さらにそのユニットを壁面に数多く並べることで、複雑な絵画を作り出します。そして一つひとつのユニットにおいても、地を塗り残すことで、描かれていないところが前面に立ち上がってくるような視覚効果を試みています。
図形の角度や向き、色の構成などを調整することで見え方が変わってくるしくみを、彼女は研究し続けています。それは社会における、ものごとを見る視点を変えてみる重要性とつながっています。

蓝色、红色、金黄色、四角形、三角形、圆形……，荒牧将这些简单的颜色和形状组合成一个个单元，然后再将许多这样的单元排列在墙上，通过这种方式，创作出一种复杂的绘画。而在这一个个单元之中，最底层有一部分是不上色的，以这种方式试图营造一种让没有描绘的部分凸显出来的视觉效果。
她在持续研究一种结构―通过调整图形的角度、方向、色彩结构等来改变人们的观看方式。这一点则与改变我们在社会中看待事物的视角的重要性相联系。

Blue, red, and gold. Squares, triangles, and circles. Aramaki combines simple colors and shapes into a single unit, and then arranges large numbers of them on a wall to compose a complex painting. Within each unit, she leaves a portion of the background unpainted, allowing these parts to come to the foreground to create a visual effect.
In her exploration, she studies how our perception is affected by angles, orientation, and color composition. Her inquiry also reminds us of the importance of shifting our views to look at our society from a different perspective.
