谢文蒂はガラスで表現する芸術家です。ガラスは、石や砂から取り出される石英や石灰石といった鉱物が主原料で、ここにソーダ灰（無水炭酸ナトリウム）を混ぜ合わせ、高温で溶かして成形します。ガラスもまた古くから人類に使われてきたものです。
この作品の主要部分はガラスと陶でできています。動物の角のような、また刺のある植物のような、あるいは手や指のような造形が、上下につなぎ合わされていて、まるで地中と地上の様子を表しているかのようです。特にガラスの部分は鏡によって幾重にもイメージが増幅されています。私たちの世界の目に見えるものと見えないもの、存在の強さと儚さが、この彫刻作品の内に見事に表現されています。

谢文蒂是一位用玻璃进行表现的艺术家。玻璃的主要原材料是从石头与砂砾中提取出来的石英与石灰石等矿物质，再与纯碱（无水碳酸钠）混合后，用高温熔化成形的。玻璃也是一种自古以来就为人类所用的东西。
这件作品的主体部分由玻璃和陶瓷制成。如动物的角一般、如带刺的植物似的，或者类似手和手指一样的造型，上下相连，仿佛在表现地下与地面。尤其是玻璃部分，经由镜子，影像被层层放大。我们这个世界中可见的与不可见的、存在的强大与脆弱，在这件雕塑作品中都得到了完美的表现。

Xie Wendi is an artist who works with glass. Glass is made mainly from minerals such as quartz and limestone extracted from stones and sand, which are mixed with soda ash (anhydrous sodium carbonate) and melted at high temperatures to form glass. Glass has also been used by humans since ancient times.
The main part of this piece is made of glass and ceramic. Forms that look like animal horns, prickly plants, hands, or fingers are joined at the top and the bottom, as if to represent the ground and the ground beneath. The glass part is amplified by mirrors that create multiple layers of imagery. The visible and the invisible, the strength and the fragility of existence in our world are beautifully expressed in this sculpture.

シエ・ウェンディ

1989年生まれ。現在、深圳と東莞を拠点に活動。2012年にロンドンのロイヤル・カレッジ・オブ・アートで美術修士号を、2010年に杭州の中国美術学院で美術学士号を取得。主な個展に「Strength Factory」Artbay（深圳、2023年）、「Form Form Form」Mission Hills Arts & Crafts Factory（深圳、2017年）、「The Other Me」CFCCA first step（マンチェスター、2013年）など。近年は、上海ガラス博物館、OCT中山、DADEギャラリー、深圳第6回公共彫刻展などでも作品を展示している。彼女のパブリックアート作品は、深圳地下鉄空港駅、Qianwan Park駅、CUHK-Shenzhen、Bailuwan Art Museum Town、Rizhaoなどで見ることができる。

谢文蒂

生于1989年，现生活工作于深圳和东莞。2012年研究生毕业于英国皇家艺术学院，2010年本科毕业于中国美术学院。个展包括“力厂”，艺湾（深圳，2023）、“漏气”，观澜湖艺工场（深圳，2017）、“另一个我”、华人当代艺术中心（first step展位，曼彻斯特，2013）。她的作品近年来在上海玻璃博物馆、中山华侨城格子空间、深圳大得画廊、第六届深圳公共雕塑展等地展出，公共艺术作品可见于深圳地铁机场站、前湾公园站、香港中文大学（深圳）、日照白鹭湾美术馆小镇等。

Xie Wendi

Born in 1989, now lives and works in Shenzhen and Dongguan. She received her Master of Arts Degree from the Royal College of Art, London in 2012, and Bachelor of Arts Degree from China Academy of Art, Hangzhou in 2010. Xie’s solo exhibition include: Strength Factory, Artbay (Shenzhen, 2023), Form Form Form, Mission Hills Arts & Crafts Factory (Shenzhen, 2017), The Other Me, CFCCA first step (Manchester, 2013). In recent years, she has also exhibited her works in Shanghai Museum of Glass, OCT Zhongshan, DADE gallery, Shenzhen the 6th Public Sculpture Exhibition etc. Her public artwork can be seen in Shenzhen Metro Airport Station, Qianwan Park Station, CUHK-Shenzhen, Bailuwan Art Museum Town, Rizhao and others.
