Miyata deliberately makes sewing machine errors to create flower embroidery that looks like a broken digital image. Her works give the viewer the impression that the seemingly perfect world has been slightly torn apart, giving us a glimpse of something new. We live in a society that is highly developed by computer technology, and there is no end to the errors and bugs we must deal with. Miyata's work, which are expressions of imperfect beauty, questions whether these glitches can inspire us with incalculable value.
